Floating Box House

The second floor wood-paneled floating box hovers over the open glass public floor, supported by a series of skewed columns and two stainless steel-clad enclosures.  The impact of much of the large house is minimized by being buried into the slanted site, with a sunken courtyard and sod-level skylights providing natural light.
